LPRng package notes

The ICElpd package is intended to replace Sun's LP and LPD compatibility packages. It installs in /usr (/usr/bin, /usr/sbin, etc.) and /etc. You'll want to remove the following packages:

   SUNWpsu
   SUNWpcu
   SUNWpcr
   SUNWpsf
   SUNWpsr
   SUNWscplp
   SUNWlpmsg
   SUNWppm
   SUNWmp

After these packages are removed, there are a few man pages still lurking (part of the SUNWman package) that can be confusing if they are found before the LPRng man pages. The ICElpd package moves the following files to /var/sadm/pkg/ICElpd/save on install, and moves them back on uninstall.

You'll probably want to get rid of the crontab for lp:

   rm -f /var/spool/cron/crontabs/lp
